The Lie

I never told anyone anything
Not a word; not a peep.
My mouth shut tight and locked.
My teeth rarely seen.
I kept my life a secret.
I kept my life from me.
My name never learned.
Just the same, never said.
I never answered a question
and I was never asked.

At least that's what they say,
those who don't really know me.
In truth, I've said a lot.
They just haven't listened to me.
My voice heard plenty,
but by myself and no other.
I never told anyone anything,
at least that's what they think.
I've told everyone everything.
but they haven't listened to me.
